The video is a "souvenir" video for people who came to our halloween 2009 party. Enjoy!

Jason Wood at IBC 2009Well, IBC 2009 is over, and although attendance was down, the quality of people there was up so it was worthwhile being there!
For the RT Software Booth, I produced a news-style countdown to introduce the virtual reality presentation that went out on the hour.
I will be at IBC, demoing tOG Sports, our sports analysis graphics package on the RT Software stand.
Come past and say hello, we are on stand 3.A59, in Hall 3.
The RT Software website now has lots of video clips from various shows that we have created graphics for in recent years.
I have been working at RT Software for almost five years now; and have been directly involved with around half shows on there.
So if you want to know what I do, now is your chance to find out.

A parody of the anti-binge-drinking campaign, filmed last Halloween and I've just got round to editing it together. My house mate, Luke, cleaned up the sound somewhat.
The new virtual reality profile graphic that I have been implementing in conjunction with the guys at the Sky Rugby League team went live last Friday.
Keep an eye out for it on sky's coverage of the Rugby League, it's the whopping great CG crane that shows the player profile after each try, you can't miss it.
If anybody is going to IBC in Amsterdam this year, I will be in Hall 3 on the RT Software stand, demonstrating our new product tOG Sports. Come over and check it out, it's pretty cool.
I am over there for the duration, so hopefully I will have some interesting tidbits and photos to put up about new technology and the like when I get back.

Cheap joke, for my first experiment with creating a blue screen at home. Also, I needed to redub the audio to get decent results as the original audio from my camcorder was less than desirable.
JVC GZ-HD3
To kick off my experiments in video, I took a wander over to Tottenham Court Road the other week to buy myself a camcorder. In the end, I settled on the JVC GZ-HD3. I would have liked to get it's slightly more upbeat cousin, the GZ-HD7 but it was just out of my price range.
So far I am reasonably pleased with it. I chose it over it's competitors in the end, mostly based on size - I am not a fan of micro-sized camcorders - they look a bit silly when you put them on a tripod! I went out looking for a full HD, 1920x1080 camcorder, such as th JVC GZ-HD7, but in the end I decided the extra cost wasn't justified, especially given that the consumer level lens won't make the most of the resolution anyway. The HD3 is 1440x1080, which isn't that far off.
